Get to know your food
Kids’ food hub is the place for kids and parents to learn about food and where it comes from.
We want to get kids cooking, growing and talking about food. Most of us are living in towns and cities and we might not ever see our food growing or the people who grow it. In fact, most of us don’t think that much about it when we’re picking up packets from the supermarket shelves or eating our dinner.

Food is our most precious resource - our bodies are made from the energy (food) we put into it. Knowing how and where our food comes from is essential. Kids' Food Hub is here to help join the dots from the farms that grow your food to the delicious meals you like to eat.
We want everyone to know how to cook delicious food and to understand how food is grown.
Your food adventure starts here.

Food Rocks!

At Kids' Food Hub, we love everything about food. We love getting dirty fingers growing it. We love chopping, slicing, stirring and spoon licking. We love eating delicious things and we hate wasting food. We also really love the planet that grows our food.
That's why you'll find recipes that use up bits of food that might go in the bin and you'll find us growing food to help us eat with the seasons and why we like playing games that help us understand food better.
About Us

Kids' Food Hub is a non-profit organisation committed to helping young people learn about food, developing food culture and understanding food politics.

Kids' Food Hub started after we read a survey by the British Nutrition Foundation found many misconceptions among children about where their food comes from. Some ideas children held included tomatoes growing underground and cheese coming from plants.

Our background includes food journalism, charity writing, cookery teaching and being a mum to two young food explorers.
Our mission is simple, we want to help children understand food so that we are all invested in the food system that supports us.
