Tomatoes grow above ground along vines. Each plant can give you many tomatoes.
Although we like them in salads, tomatoes are actually a fruit.
The tomato season starts in June and continues all summer long.
Tomatoes need lots of sun, so if you see tomatoes in winter they will have been grown inside greenhouses or in hotter countries.
They are super easy to grow and you can grow them in pots on balconies or patios.
